Our Mission
The Walk church exists to equip people to live the gospel in a way that inspires others to believe and grow into fruitful people who walk out the reality of the love of Christ in their families, vocations and community.
Key Principles of our mission
There are five key principles that are important to our mission and help us all stay focused on the plan of God for our lives. Theses principles are Discovery, Growth, Strength, Friendship and Purpose.
DISCOVERY is a process that does not end when a person believes in Christ Jesus, it is really just the beginning. We receive a New Life that is full of discovery that promotes change in attitudes, behaviors, beliefs, and more. Discovery is essential to the process of growth.
GROWTH is the result of applying the truths of God's Word to our life through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, being doers of the Word and nor hearers only. As a result we grow in understanding, character, commitment, knowledge, relationships and so much more. Healthy growth produces strength.
STRENGTH is like ligaments that hold everything together, both personally and as an organization intent on helping others. We all need a balanced administration, management, finances, structure and resources. Strength is the result of healthy growth and provides the essential elements for the development and maintenance of meaningful friendships.
FRIENDSHIP is like the bonus of becoming part of a family. Significant relationships develop as we care and support one another, encouraging and spurring each other onward and upward in our Walk. It is truly the power of the gospel that destroys barriers of all kinds, heals broken hearts and unites together people who were once strangers into a family, adopted by God and destined for purpose.
PURPOSE is what you are made for. It is a unique destiny that is achieved with the help and resources of a family. Your individual purpose is a biblical truth, the specifics of which you discover as you draw near to God through Jesus Christ. At The Walk, we want to help you fulfill it and this is why our mission is to Live the Gospel.
